Mel facilitated a session with the young people we work with who are seeking asylum/refugees. She was a fantastic workshop host and facilitator! She was flexible and accommodating to our needs and the ability of the young people, engaging a much larger group than anticipated last minute. We now have a wonderful co-produced fabric graffiti art banner for our youth club and football matches!! We display it at our youth centre which gives the young people a great sense of achievement and pride.

Mel was a pleasure to work with and came very prepared. She was extremely professional and easy to chat to. A lot of our guests were curious about her work and she took the time to explain it to them how the spray paint process worked on the garden bench. She also used her flare of creativity to add last minute details that really enhanced the mural. Mel worked collaboratively with students from different year groups to produce artwork based on their original drawings of our school values. She followed their designs and added her own style using spray paints/stencils to complete. We are very pleased with the final outcome and are soon to put them on display in our hall for the whole school to see.

About
Mel is a street artist from rural England her style is a combination of graphic images, patterns, often bright colours and many layers. Attention grabbing and vivid. A Ba hons in fine art provided her with the means to experiment and problem solve artistically. It helped her start to gain a breadth and range of knowledge now enabling the generation of work based upon the interpretation of a wide range of ideas, subjects and themes. She thinks quickly to rapidly interpret inputs to overcome problems of creativity and application. Strong in ideas generation, creative experimentation and in the execution of site-specific pieces. Based In Banbury Oxfordshire UK with more than 12 years experience delivering public, private art and workshops to many varying clients with different needs all over the country. Her work involes building designs from collated photography that create a sense of being overwhelmed. These compositions, layered often create an intense vision of the subject from the artist point of view. The works explore female empowerment as wall as mental health issues such as confusion in feeling overwhelming emotion, dealing with human connections and what expressions can say to individuals viewing them.

After many years stencilling I pass my knowledge down to new interesed peoples. Age 12 to 100 There are a suprising amount of varying techniques in stencilling and has now beome a popular art form.

A group demo of up to 15 people for 2.5 hours (ages 9 to 100) A quick saftey demo and technique talk Try different spray techniques and learn about cans and caps A workshop designed to be held in a location suitable for spray painting or one set up for it (eg external legal walls or bords set up)

A full day or two half day workshops of stencilling and the paiting of a 8x8ft mural. (external boards or wall needs to be arranged by bookers feel free to get in touch regarding advice on these surfaces) Some general idea will need to be established before starting the project.
