About
Darya has been practicing art for over 20 years using different techniques and mediums. She has been studying traditional oil painting techniques during school years, exploring acrylics later in life, as well as trying out an ancient type of handicraft macramé, and recently experimenting with epoxy resin. Darya loves nature. Growing up in a city at the foot of the mountains in Kazakhstan, studying and living by the Persian Gulf in Dubai for 8 years and residing in lush green Singapore with her husband and kids for the past 6 years, definitely had an impact on her art inspiration. Landscapes, seascapes and flowers are the main characters of her artworks. Working with palette knife as the main medium it helps Darya to bring a lot of texture and livelihood into her paintings.

I get very inspired by nature. I love painting seascapes and landscapes as well as flowers. I use palette knife to create bold and vivid paintings with a touch of abstract. However, I don’t like to limit my artwork and always open to experiment with artwork topic and designs.
