About
I’ve been working professionally as an artist for the past 15 years, specializing in custom artwork for clients. My work focuses on painting/murals and collage/multimedia. Completed projects include paintings for The Marriott, The Charmant Hotel, murals for K9 Resorts, murals for schools and homes, and commissioned paintings for numerous art collections and residential homes. My BFA in Illustration is from The School of Visual Arts in NYC (08) and my art certification has given me teaching opportunities throughout NYC, NJ, and PA including the Academy at Makeup Forever in NYC and The Philadelphia Museum of Art. My core passion is creating both small and large scale custom projects for clients, customizing a project to suit their needs and making their visual and aesthetic dreams a reality.

ARTIST STATEMENT
The evolution of her transpires through my art which is filled with intentional experiences to deliver us on a journey of indulgent self reflection. My aesthetic principles have always relied heavily on the female form and the animal kingdom while creating a dynamic juxtaposition between contemporary reality and our allusive imaginations. The custom framework utilizing metal and copper materials allows for each work to transform and travel to one’s fluid subconscious while transforming apparel pieces into wearable and functional works of art. Education has always remained an integral function in my studio practice as it has the power to transform and heal communities in addition to its visual intent. It is my belief that everybody should have the opportunity to evolve into dynamic visual thinkers and creators. To gift others with the same opportunities I was handed holds invaluable meaning and purpose.

BIOGRAPHY
Jaimee Newman Schwartz is a contemporary artist in Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs.Her work has been exhibited nationwide with acquisitions in hotels and commissioned by numerous private collectors. A few of her clients include NYLO Hotels New York City,   murals for K9 Resorts in Pennsylvania,   and The Charmant Hotel in Wisconsin. Jaimee is a certified educator of art and has taught art across the tristate area. She has taught Visual Development at the post­secondary level to students at The Academy at Makeup Forever in NYC,   the affiliate partner to the popular television show “Face­Off.” Jaimee has completed an artist residency with The Philadelphia Museum of Art and Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership,   where she taught visual art in various schools and host sites across Philadelphia. She respectfully holds her Bachelors in Fine Arts/Illustration from The School of Visual Arts in New York City while currently residing and working in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband and four children.
