My name is Amanda Bomster-Jabs. I was born in South Korea, grew up in Baltimore, MD, and currently live in Los Angeles, CA. I specialize in a range of drawing and painting techniques. With a BFA in Illustration, bring a strong foundation in traditional and digital media. I work across multiple styles, from detailed, realistic renderings to more expressive, abstract interpretations. I studied at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and Towson University in Maryland. In my personal work, I am interested in hidden emotions and layered identities, navigating the landscapes of longing, hope, and grief through familiar and unfamiliar imagery. Rooted in personal experiences, including reunion with my birth family and explorations of identity, my art serves as a source of comfort—a medium through which I reflect on the complexities of loss and gain.
