About
Beilin Xu is an illustrator with an instinct for storytelling. She has a radiant, whimsical style, a knack for bold color choices, and loves to draw people, nature, and imaginary creatures. She has illustrated decodable readers and graphic novels and would like to branch out to picture books and book covers. Beilin was born in China and grew up in the tropical city of Singapore. Armed with a degree in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute, she draws inspiration from diverse sources, from the works of Greg Tocchini to the Detective Conan manga series. When she is not drawing, she enjoys the meditative art of crochet and the thrill of slaying video game zombies. Whether wielding a tablet pen or a crochet hook, Beilin infuses passion and playfulness into every creation. Clients include: Pacific Learning, Vista Higher Learning, Behrman House, Lerner Publishing Group, Book Buddy Media, and Liz Fe Lifestyle.
