About
I am a passionate Melbourne based artist who specialises in illustration, oil painting, 2D animation and graphic design. Inspired by surrealist and expressionist painting I try pushing the boundaries between abstraction and realism to find a unique perspective. I also delight in the imperfections on a painting .i.e splatters, vibrant brush strokes that contribute to making the work exciting and unique. Outside of painting I have illustrated kids books and used my drawing skills to create background art for the kids TV show Fanshaw and Crudnut. I have also hand drawn animated several short films one of which screened at the Melbourne international animation festival in 2009. Professionally, I am trained as a Graphic designer and love condensing meaning into abstract shapes to create new logo designs that help make a business stand out. I also enjoy the technical side of design, building websites and creating motion graphics for social media and eLearning.
