World Animal Day by Julia Massow in Hamburg

For World Animal Day, this commission for Faber-Castell Global focuses on the diverse bird species within Faber-Castell's forests. Using Polychromos colored pencils, I rendered detailed illustrations of three significant birds: the Yellow-breasted Macaw, Toucan, and Kookaburra. Positioned on strategically placed branches, these drawings highlight the birds' vibrant colors and forms against the backdrop of a pine trunk, enhancing the viewer's experience of ascending through a forest. This project aims to engage and educate on social media, spotlighting the necessity of protecting natural habitats.
