Whakatane Summer Arts Festival! by Pauly B in Auckland

Whakatane Summer Arts Festival!

The woman in the mural is embedded in the landscape. The leaves overlapping her eyes highlights this connection. She is feeling all of the bliss that comes with being at one with nature, which is really being at one with ourselves 🍃 Whakatāne is a town that is intrinsically linked to the natural environment. Framed by the Pacific Ocean, scenic reserves, stunning rocks and cliffs, the iconic Moutohorā (Whale) Island, and the plains. I wanted to capture this energy and movement of these natural features in a creative sense through abstraction and colour 🎨
