Vermiliion hue by Poorvaja Seetharam in Singapore

Vermiliion hue

According to me, consumerism is a system that divides people. We are fed information from generation to generation that clouds our eyes from reality. The vermillion that a woman places on her forehead carries the honor of her family. It gives her the title of a woman. what makes her a woman? Her fertility. Contrasting the safe feeling of a baby in a womb to the feeling of being stuck in a dark lonely place, unable to detach from the cord that owns her. This piece seeks to throw light on the issue of honor killing, a practice that gives the family the right to kill one that disobeys its honor.
