I am an LA based artist but my roots and inspiration for art come from all over the world. My roots are Russian, Native American, Spanish, and Scottish. When I was a young girl I would read The Brothers Grimm and was drawn to the folk art illustrations in them…the bright colors and fierce lines. I read the works of Kim Parker from New York, Yahoi Kusama from Japan, Grandma Moses from Greenwhich and many other women artists inspired me. I know I need to paint. Every time I do, I find more of myself.
