This artwork is more than a circle of black and gold. For me, it represents Wholeness and the most basic structure of life. Life is a circle of happiness and sadness, hard times and good times. My idea was to calm and support my peace within. It was a healing journey after a major life changing event. The circular, aesthetic patterns helped me align my inner world with the outside. It was particularly exciting and fulfilling to work on this as the entire journey inspired my mindfulness. While working on this piece, I was forced to think about how the Gold makes us glow and the White makes us Human. According to me, this is an artwork that welcomes everyone and is respectful enough to bring joy anywhere it is placed. Because of the overall aesthetics of this piece, I worked hard on making this very fine piece PERFECT. A little effort to bring something pretty for your beautiful Wall. I am a Vancouver-based artist who specializes in fusion dot mandala art but I am also experimenting with other styles. We are all born with an innate and insatiable curiosity about the world around us. As we grow older, we are distracted by adult things and problems, and most of us forget to be curious. We stop looking for fairies in the garden, or dragon scales in the rocks. We forget how to look. I believe the artist lives on in the things that they have created. We lead with our hands, into people, new objects, and places. I have always loved the idea of how things speak. The teapot can say -” Hello, please hold me this way”. To touch an art at an art gallery is a way of feeling the love of the artist. And to hold a brush in the hand is a way for expressing the light and energy of creating something new, something beautiful. My goal is to convey peace and grace to my viewers, offering a moment of pause and a feeling of deep belonging. “ Stop, take a pause, look, admire, accept and cherish… with patience.”
