Black Nexus by Komal Saxena in Vancouver

Nexus means a connection or series of connections linking two or more things. Through this piece, I wanted to symbolize exactly that. When you look closely, the inner part of this artwork is a completely independent design while the outer part is an independent flow as well. But there are elements in this piece that club together and bring the entire piece into one. My goal was to intertwine two designs together. I also relied on Gold leaves to bring out the shine of this piece. The texture of these leaves might not be perfect but they compliment the design very well. The black color was chosen as the background of this piece and white was chosen because I felt the need of working with a neutral shade. The piece looks complicated but when you really look at it, it is rather a relaxing set of strokes. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed creating it.
