The Wall
This project was a hard one to plan because it was a first mural. I did a sketch first, researched all the materials and ordered them. After, we covered the door in black background color and waited for the free day at the auto shop so I can come and do the work. When the day came, I spent 16 hours of painting before finishing the mural. It was a hard piece as I had this stick in the middle of the garage door which made my circles tricky to create. Anyways the outcome is pretty good.
Meet the Artist
Toronto, CanadaI'm a modern calligraphy artist from Kyiv who’s currently based in Toronto. My way started back in 2012 with street art and exploration of letterforms. This hobby created a path for me into the OCAD University where I studied Graphic Design. Using collected knowledge, my focus shifted from the traditional image of a designer to more of an artistic perspective.
Since 2020, I'm a great supporter of modern Calligraphy movement. The main idea is to absorb knowledge of different cultures & their alphabets >>> to transform traditional letterforms into more abstract / expressive / interesting shapes. Through this practice, I believe to unite those cultures together.
