The Faceless
The painting is deeply rooted in reflecting on the human condition, exploring the tension and harmony between individuality and shared identity. The abstract, overlapping faces represent the complexity of human diversity—each face is unique yet intricately connected to the others. The vibrant palette and golden accents celebrate the beauty of our differences, shaped by skin color, gender, caste, ethnicity, and personal experiences. At the same time, the painting reminds us of our shared humanity: beneath the layers of individuality lie typical desires, struggles, and emotions that bind us together. Meet the Artist
Islamabad, PakistanI'm a self-taught artist based in Pakistan — I've been drawing and painting since I was a kid, but it wasn't until 2017, at 27, that I really fell for oil on canvas (a bit like Van Gogh finding his stride later in life). I haven't put the brush down since.
My work moves between flowers, landscapes, animals, and human rights themes, but the style I keep coming back to is cubism. I love making line-drawn canvas portraits of human faces, Picasso-inspired but very much my own thing. By day I work in public health, which quietly shapes a lot of what I paint.
I'm open to commissions, always happy to talk about a piece.
