Painting fruit is an age-old technique that has been used for centuries to learn the art of oil painting. In my class, 'Intro to oil painting' I will teach how to paint mandarins from photos. This image is one of my student's work from the class.
Meet the Artist
Gold Coast, AustraliaMy art has been based on an ongoing body of work titled 'Absorption' wherein I ask to be invited into the homes of strangers and photograph the seemingly insignificant corners of their homes. These corners that you're so unaware you keep say a lot about your beliefs, your personality, and your rituals. I call them Indirect Portraits. These works started out as paintings (both in oil and watercolour) and have evolved into murals. They are also open to commissions.
Outside of my painting practice, I regularly teach workshops on drawing, oil painting, and watercolor.
