Spread love, its the Brooklyn way
This is a mural I did with Thrive Collective in collaboration with the Brooklyn Nets. The theme of this mural is Spread Love, it's the Brooklyn Way. We worked with the elementary, middle and High school kids in the Gershwin school on Van Siclen Ave and Linden Blvd in East New York to create this mural. The wall shows different aspects of the neighborhood and the community's love of music emphasizing its importance
Meet the Artist
Jersey City, United StatesI went to school to study illustration and graduated with a BFA from Fashion Institute of Technology. I am at my core and illustrator but since then I have worked for 3 years as a contracted mural artist for a non profit based in NYC. My role in this collective is as a lead artist as well as a teaching artist. I work with schools and various community organizations to create classroom sessions where I teach the mural process from start to finish to people of all ages. I am very comfortable teaching the painting process. I have also recently just started teaching paint n sips per my clients requests! I love painting people, animals and plants and have recently been traveling to paint murals in Austin Texas :)
