Sam Soper completed this space whale mural on a wall featuring over 10 different local female muralists behind the El Tacorrido on Riverside in Austin, Texas. This 8'x7' mural was painted with Montana spray paints and took around 12 hours to complete (2 hours of digital concept sketching and 10 hours of spray painting).

Sam is an Austin-based mural artist and illustrator specializing in colorful, highly-detailed, pop-surrealist portraiture, character creations, scenery, and concept art. Her mission focuses on joy and representation, striving to make each piece an educational experience by highlighting real subjects and the ethereal beauty of the natural world. She has a 15+ year background in brand strategy, creative design, and user experience that she puts to use creating fun and engaging brand experience in the form of mural work and installations.
Additionally, in 2021, she founded Creative Cuties ATX, an intersectional group for creatives interested in building local community by encouraging self-expression, connecting with others across various disciplines, and celebrating all of our individual achievements.
