"Plant Your Own Garden" Hand-lettering Mural
Sam Soper completed this hand-lettered quote mural, stating "Plant your own garden & decorate your own soul," in the garage activity area at the Sanctuary Gardens Home for Survivors in South Austin, Texas. This 5'x5' mural was painted with Behr latex paints and took around 8 hours to complete, after a 3 hour concept session.

Sam is an Austin-based mural artist and illustrator specializing in colorful, highly-detailed, pop-surrealist portraiture, character creations, scenery, and concept art. Her mission focuses on joy and representation, striving to make each piece an educational experience by highlighting real subjects and the ethereal beauty of the natural world. She has a 15+ year background in brand strategy, creative design, and user experience that she puts to use creating fun and engaging brand experience in the form of mural work and installations.
Additionally, in 2021, she founded Creative Cuties ATX, an intersectional group for creatives interested in building local community by encouraging self-expression, connecting with others across various disciplines, and celebrating all of our individual achievements.
