Sir Donald Bradman by Sid Tapia in Brisbane
Sir Donald Bradman
Growing up in some of my younger years on Watkin St Rockdale, my older brother, Walker once let me know that the great Sir Donald Bradman had lived on our cross St, Fredrick St.
On my countless bike rides around the block I would always pull up or acknowledge what I believed to be his prior house and imagine Don going to and fro, practising with his cricket stump and golf ball up against the back wall etc.
As I played club & representative cricket at a young age, knowing that one of the greatest of all time once lived right by me was a huge influence on my life. Still is.
This oil painting is now beautifully framed up and has been sent off to the team @foxcricket to find its home ?
