This is a self portrait in oils on canvas. Starting as a block in sketch , next was the underpainting stage, and lastly a refinement stage with careful paint application to bring the portrait to life. All while always focusing on the drawing and proportions to achieve a likeness of my sitter, in this case, myself. The play between warm and cool bring focus and attention to the peice.
