Nature Through the Screen
A hand holds a smartphone against a lush, colorful forest in Nature Through the Screen, an Illustrator piece in Leeuwarden. The digital illustration’s vibrant greens, purples, and reds create a sense of depth and wonder, blending technology with the natural world. The playful, stylized forms suggest the intersection of digital and real-life experiences, inviting reflection on connection. Medium: digital illustration.
Meet the Artist
Utrecht, NetherlandsNanski creates illustrations about topics such as inclusivity, empowerment, gender equality and body positivity. Her work can be found in magazines and newspapers, but also on painted camper vans, surfboards and murals. She always creates her work in her recognizable colorful palette and the gradients in her work show that not everything is black-and-white—or pink-and-blue. She creates a layered world without binary thinking.
As a visual activist, Nanna wants to show that everyone belongs and that diversity should be celebrated. Her illustrations are a call to be proud of yourself and to be an ally to those who deserve it.
“Enjoy this playground she calls work!”
