Meet the Artist
Vancouver, CanadaKat will collaborate with you to make a stunning oil or watercolour painting that you can cherish. Portraits are hand-painted on gesso-primed stretched canvas (or canvas panel) using high-quality oil paints, or with gouache/watercolour on beautifully textured watercolour paper. Kat enjoys using traditional classical realism techniques and vibrant colour to bring emotion and warmth to each portrait.
Paintings will be based on a high-quality, well-lit photo of yours.
She is continually inspired by both the style of the old Renaissance masters and the colour palette of the impressionists. These influences are apparent in her work, which combines classical techniques and bold, vibrant colour to create eye-catching and emotive portraits.
Since pursuing her art professionally, her work has found homes in private collections all over the world.
