This was fun for me! At first I wanted it to be perfect and structured, but then, as I saw the painting develop, I decided it was okay for it to come out different-a little more creative and a little less stringent. I realized while working on this piece and its "brother" entitled Mic Check 2, that I was painting these for my boys. I was rearing them as scientists and mathematicians-very structured, but was actually developing artists, music lovers-a little less stringent. Both are acrylic works.
