Macmillan Cancer Support Swim Challenge Mural by Amber Scarlett in London
Macmillan Cancer Support Swim Challenge Mural
Hammerton's Ferry needed to promote their 365 day swim challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support. Their material sign wasn't eye catching enough so we decided to go bigger and create something that would be seen from across the river. Many of the locals loved the new mural addition on the barge and helped to boost donations.
The sign was painted on 8ft wooden sheeting, primed and then painted using exterior masonry paint.
Meet the Artist
London, United KingdomI'm a Richmond based Artist working within abstract fine art, mural art, scenic art, art department roles (the list is rather extensive!). Working flexibly within these creative roles means that my skills set is vast and my ideas remain fresh.
Having a background in Theatre design has allowed me to develop the skills to work COLLABORATIVELY and create designs that suit a purpose, aesthetic and mood. This means that I am conscious of both my client's needs AND the effect it will have on the people that will inhabit that space. I am personally drawn to organic and abstract shapes, textures and motifs that are nature inspired. Although my ability to work with design briefs means that my skills and creativity is diverse when creating for the visions of others.
I am empathetic and great with people so my biggest strength is being able to tune in to my client's needs and create work that is MEANINGFUL.
Quite simply, I know that Art can dramatically transform a space and play a fundamental part in improving wellbeing.
Whether you are a minimalist or maximalist I will offer you something that turn heads, bring out a smile and make a space feel that much more of a pleasure to be in, all while complimenting and elevating your brand aesthetic or creating a captivating environment for your home.
