The curious feline was a regular visitor to our garden, often perching at the window in the back of the house, patiently waiting for me to step outside. I had taken to calling him Tom, though I'm not certain if that was his true name.
One day, I decided to capture his captivating presence on the other side of the glass. Through the windowpane, I carefully framed a portrait of the cat, taking advantage of the unique perspective and the interplay of light and shadow. The resulting image was a striking study, showcasing Tom's regal bearing and the contemplative mood of our encounters.
Pleased with the artistic outcome, I later decided to offer this portrait for sale online. The piece seemed to resonate with others, allowing me to share this little slice of our neighborhood's feline character with a wider audience.
The process of observing and immortalizing Tom's visits had been a delightful exercise in practicing my craft. Each time he appeared at the window, it was an opportunity to hone my skills in composition, lighting, and capturing the essence of my subject. This cat had become a muse of sorts, inspiring me to explore new techniques and perspectives in my photographic work.

My name is Chris, a British artist who has been living in Thailand for the past eight years. With nearly 40 years of experience under my belt, I have honed a wide range of creative skills in painting.
Although I graduated from the University of the Arts in Norwich in 2016, later in my life than expected, the program provided valuable insights into the art world. My versatility allows me to create photo-realistic artwork, primarily focusing on animals such as birds, dogs, and wildlife, including reptiles and exotic flowers. I also enjoy exploring abstract art using various mediums like oils, acrylics, watercolors, pencils, pastel pencils, and even airbrushing, and sometimes digital art animal portrits, and pencil sketching.
You can find examples of my diverse work on several of my Instagram accounts, which showcase my ability to seamlessly transition from hyper-realistic pieces to more whimsical, humorous folk art paintings. I take pride in my flexibility and adaptability, always striving to bring my clients' visions to life.
As a friendly and open-minded artist, I welcome inquiries and am happy to discuss potential projects. If a request falls outside my expertise or proves too complex, I will be upfront about my limitations. However, I encourage you to reach out, as I'm eager to collaborate and create stunning, personalized artwork tailored to your preferences.
