Jerusalem of Gold by Justin Andrew Hook in Cremorne
Jerusalem of Gold
Commemorating the centenary of the victory of the 800 Light horseman from Auz and NZ who fought in Israel in 1917. I finished this painting 100yrs to the day of the historical re capture of Beersheva from the turks by the ANZACs. this subsequently lead to the liberation of the HolyCity for years to come.
I had travelled to Jerusalem many times for various reasons by this time and just wanted to paint the city. I happened to find a good reason.

Meet the Artist
Cremorne, AustraliaI am a Sydney based artist on the lower North shore.
I have also been curating for a small gallery called 'the Art Lounge Bondi' in Bondi Junction.
I recently started getting into painting street art & completed my first 14.7m x 2.5m wall in a village in Israel outside of Jerusalem. ( Nov - Dec 2022)
Working publicly was an incredibly enjoyable experience which effected the entire village. I hope to extend my artistic gifts further into the world of street art and Murals.
