How to be human again by Sesili Eloshvili in Antwerp
How to be human again
As contemporary humans we encounter many similar yet absurd problems or situations in life. The routine and modern stigmas can affect our ability to see ourselves from a different point of view and make us feel isolated or detached from the world
In this project I tried to express my own journey through different mental difficulties.
I wanted to show a dehumanised version of contemporary people, hoping that it would resonate with others too.
Derealisation, maintaining an unhealthy routine, ignoring our body's needs and a never ending strive to rediscover ourself can negatively impact our self-perception.
We all go through tough periods when we can't really recognise ourselves, but if we listen to our body and look at ourselves from afar, things might change and it could bring a new perspective to our cognition.
Meet the Artist
Antwerp, BelgiumI am a Georgian artist currently based in Belgium. I work in different mediums ranging from digital illustrations to sketch and oil paintings. I have been painting since I was a child so it is a natural pathway for me. I love to create visuals that are memorable, fun, aesthetic and can evoke emotions. I have worked as an illustrator and a graphic designer throughout my career at agencies and as a freelancer. I love designing characters and telling stories through my art.
