Grandpa by Kat Reyes in Vancouver

A commissioned 16-inch oil portrait that is a composite of several old, blurry photos. The client and I worked closely to ensure that I was able to achieve a likeness by combining the old photos available to me. Here is the client's reaction to the finished piece: 'Katrina is an amazing artist! She is patient, kind, and thoughtful in her work. I commissioned Katrina to paint a portrait of my grandfather who I don’t have many pictures of. I could not be happier with her service and the end result. Not only does it look like my grandpa, she somehow managed to capture his personality and warmth in the painting, as if he is right here with me.
