Garuda: The God of Bird by Kmeng Lyna in Phnom Penh
Garuda: The God of Bird
In this artwork, I want to show a demigod and divine creature called Garuda, who is the king of birds, half-man, and half-bird, the vehicle of Vishnu, and the enemy of serpents or naga. He represents impres- sive celestial space, air, and heaven.
The reason behind creating this artwork, I would love to bring the good side of his character which showed us that he is the king of birds with gratitude, virtue, non-greedy, sincerity, loyalty, respect, responsibility, and courage. It also reflects our society nowadays to see people on the good side and not judge anyone from one-sided stories. What if you open your mind to see the whole story before judging for a better society?
