HaemPean 2998

“Haem Pean 2998” is an artwork I designed for the Kampumera project #MakeOurOwnLuck, which is a part of sharing creativity and Khmer culture, as well as showing the main female characters from ancient myth with modern technology. • Why the name “Haem Pean 2998”? • “Haem Pean 2998” is aimed to illustrate the evolutions of the Magical Forest called Prey Haem Pean throughout the 1000 years of the future with technology and 1000years after the artist was born, heard the story of the Prey Haem Ma Pean, and the rest is left to my imaginations. The mural's painted on a community art wall at Factory Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I sketched out my design on paper, using a variety of references and images. I chose to use wall paint and acrylic paints and brushes, as they are durable and easy to work with. I spent 7days from start to finish painting.
