A welcoming sign I created for local Toronto coffee roastery called Ethica Coffee Roasters. Simple and bold focusing on letters and my signature style. One side says "fresh coffee", the other one says "specialty coffee".
Meet the Artist
Toronto, CanadaI'm a modern calligraphy artist from Kyiv who’s currently based in Toronto. My way started back in 2012 with street art and exploration of letterforms. This hobby created a path for me into the OCAD University where I studied Graphic Design. Using collected knowledge, my focus shifted from the traditional image of a designer to more of an artistic perspective.
Since 2020, I'm a great supporter of modern Calligraphy movement. The main idea is to absorb knowledge of different cultures & their alphabets >>> to transform traditional letterforms into more abstract / expressive / interesting shapes. Through this practice, I believe to unite those cultures together.
