Entwined snakes - the staff of Hermes
This small painting was applied directly to the client's wall. She has a love of alchemy and metaphysics and she wanted something to represent this underneath her bookshelf of philosophy. Made with iridescent paint, the snakes shimmer in the light as you walk past!
I am London-born artist inspired primarily by myth and fairy tales. I love to work with bold, bright colours, giant figures and fantasy animals. My aim is to inspire, empower and bring joy to the world through my creations. I always knew I wanted to be an artist and I love working with others to help them bring their visions to life.
I studied Fine Art at Newcastle University, and since then my practice has taken me all over the world for workshops and exhibitions. I regularly brush up my skills with short courses from renowned teachers. In 2017 I won the North East Sunshine Award for painting and in 2019 I was awarded a travel scholarship from Newcastle University. I have featured in 2 documentaries and had my first solo show in September 2022.
My favourite medium is painting - especially large scale, so murals are a favourite of mine, but I also work with drawing and sculpture. One of my favourite pieces was a 'household god' I created for a family's home shrine.
