Cub Love
As part of my community-engagement practice, I design community-driven murals that invite participation and foster shared ownership of public space. This mural was created for Lafayette Elementary School to brighten the exterior of a 5th-grade classroom housed in a large gray portable building. In collaboration with the PTA, the goal was to introduce joy, color, and movement into the schoolyard.
The design celebrates the Lafayette Leopards mascot through a sweeping composition of vibrant color that activates the full length of the building. Intentionally developed for collective painting, the mural was brought to life by more than 70 community volunteers in partnership with Urban ArtWorks and completed in a record two days over Labor Day Weekend 2024—an energizing demonstration of what’s possible through collaboration and shared creative effort.

My work blends bold color, illustrative linework, and a strong sense of narrative, often shaped by themes of connection, resilience, and place. Alongside my independent practice, I’ve spent years working in arts administration and public art consulting, which means I bring both creative vision and logistical fluency to every project. Whether I’m designing a mural, creating custom artwork, or collaborating with communities and clients, my goal is to make thoughtful, human-centered work that feels inviting, meaningful, and alive in its environment.
