I’m proud to be part of HealthyHer – an organisation dedicated to empowering, uplifting, and supporting underrepresented communities, particularly Muslim women of all ages. At HealthyHer, we believe in creating opportunities where they don’t currently exist. We run a variety of programs and activities focused on health, wellbeing, and empowerment – from sports and physical activities to social groups, trips, and community outings. What makes us special is that we’re an intergenerational group. We experience things together that are not always the norm for many Muslim women, and we create safe, inclusive spaces for women to connect, grow, and thrive. Our mission is to reach more Muslim women and provide access to a supportive community where their voices are heardand opinions are valued – not only within our group but across wider platforms like local councils, politics, the NHS, and the private sector. To achieve this, we’re looking to partner with like-minded organisations, increase our online presence, and work alongside community activists to raise awareness about the importance of representation and inclusivity. I truly believe that through advocacy, visibility, and collective support, we can make a meaningful impact and empower more Muslim women to feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
