Celebrating the Youth Mural by Nathan Sanan in Brussels
Celebrating the Youth Mural
How does one go about enhancing a playful space? Use all the colour, and I literally mean all the damn colours! It's safe to say that I'm currently in a serious zone of productivity, and there's still more to come. Been a great week painting this latest mural at the new Education Development Centre for University of Fort Hare down in East London CBD. On to the next one.
Meet the Artist
Brussels, BelgiumI’m driven by the power of place — the stories, textures, and rhythms that shape a community’s identity. As a mural artist, public speaker, and creative strategist with a background in architecture, I specialize in site-specific works that honor local culture, history, and natural beauty. My art isn’t just decoration — it’s a conversation. I love transforming public spaces into living canvases that spark pride, dialogue, and connection.
What inspires me most is collaboration: working with communities, historians, and everyday citizens to co-create visuals that feel personal and powerful. Whether I’m designing a mural from public fingerprints or crafting digital prints that blend analog textures with bold typography, I bring a deep respect for context and a flair for storytelling.
My skills span large-scale mural execution, digital art prompt generation, community engagement, and strategic design. I’m known for translating complex ideas into accessible visuals — whether it’s a healthcare campaign, a cultural celebration, or a brand identity. I thrive on challenges, and I bring both precision and heart to every project.
