Biscuit Factory Carpark Mural by Rebecca Crawford Arts in the Community in Baldivis

Biscuit Factory Carpark Mural

I was commissioned by the residents of the strata body corporate at the Biscuit Factory apartments carpark on South Terrace, Fremantle. Approximately $8000 Including materials. It was approximately 64 Square metres long by 2.5 metres in height. It was completed in the September School Holidays 2021 (2 Weeks) The residents of this Strata apartment building wanted something that would incorporate the history of the biscuit factory which was once owned by ‘Mills and Ware’. It needed to reflect modern with historic themes. Bright happy colours to lift the space when entering either the residents’ businesses or accommodation. Stage 1 The original wall space was dark and gloomy so a white exterior paint was applied to give it a new and bright background which would make the design stand out better. Stage 2 Layer 1 Orange, layer 2 Light blue, Layer 3 Pink and then the final layer a dark navy was applied. Please go to my Facebook page Rebecca Crawford Community Art to see how I installed the mural. https://www.facebook.com/rebeccacrawfordcommunityart/
