Big Ben Under Construction by Katja Yeroshenkova in Harrow
Big Ben Under Construction
It seems that I was somehow moved by seeing Big Ben. Perhaps it was the mood of November or the unfinished construction work, who knows. This was created using coloured pencils & watercolour.
"I was born in the beautiful city of Odesa, Ukraine. My artistic journey commenced at the Grekov Art College in Odesa, where I earned a diploma in Decorative Applied Arts with a specialization in ceramics. This marked the foundation of my artistic path.
I then expanded my artistic horizons at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art & Design in Halle, Germany, where I achieved distinction in fine arts, painting, graphics, and book art. My thesis, titled 'Books, as Objects of Desire,' stands as a testament to my dedication to the fusion of art and literature.
Throughout my educational voyage, I delved into a diverse spectrum of artistic forms, ranging from the intricate craftsmanship of bookbinding and illustration to the timeless traditions of still-life painting and sketching. Drawing and painting have always ignited a fervent passion within me, providing an unparalleled avenue for expressing my creativity. The magic of bringing to life what was once confined to the realm of imagination is an indescribable thrill. Furthermore, I find immense satisfaction in portraying individuals through my own perspective as I try to capture their character within the art."
