Behind Closed Eyes by Ambs Art in Madrid

Behind Closed Eyes

This painting illustrates a self-portrait that formed part of a series of works for my first solo exhibition which took place in Malta in 2022 entitled - "Behind Closed Eyes." This series of works was based on the notion that the eyes are the key to the soul, however, if one blurs those eyes can one see through someone's soul? Completed with oils on canvas, the colors chosen were powerful and bold and a palette knife was used to create thick textures and interesting brushstrokes.
