Bank Corner Totem by Skubz in Melbourne

Bank Corner Totem

This work was painted as part of Newcastle City's "Hit the Bricks" graffiti art festival. Painted with aerosol and house paint. The 2nd-story location was accessed by using a cherry-picker. The background was painted by layering house paint in fast, gestural patterns, while the 'face' of the work was painted in a similar way using various colours of aerosol to lay down abstract text I refer to as 'Sigils'. 'Sigils' are an element I often employ in my artwork, and are used to represent various emotions, thoughts and messages, while maintaining an air of mystery and the unknown.
