Abstract floral painting by Jerome van Rijn in Auckland

This piece was created for a client. I used a design based off of the clients mothers floral couch. She had recently passed away and this price was paying homage to her. I started the process with selecting a section of the fabric I thought could be digitally translated on to my I pad. I then re-designed the colour palette and proceeded to paint it on canvas. To create a very close image to the design I had created, I used a projector to create the outline of the design on the canvas. Afterward I had mixed each colour to create to piece you see.
