A Korean Cinderella Story by Efren in Austin
A Korean Cinderella Story
This mural was quite the experience! This is located in two of the bathrooms at Arlo Grey, a restaurant in downtown Austin that is owned/created by world renowned chef, Kristen Kish. She is Korean but was adopted by an American family. Growing up, her parents read the Korean Cinderella story to help her connect with her Korean heritage. It was her concept to write out the story on the bathroom walls. There were a few challenges to this project. First, it was on tiled wall, so unable to fix any errors. Second, the tiles were angle, so no straight lines to follow. And third, I had 72 hours to complete. It was a really fun project to tackle. And yes, I used all spray paint. No sketching, just had to go with it.
