'Tui Hui' Mural for Be a Tidy Kiwi

A new mural is being commissioned by Be a Tidy Kiwi, in collaboration with BZ Rail and Resene, to transform and uplift a neglected stretch of railway-side wall. The project aims to turn an otherwise overlooked space into a vibrant, welcoming visual statement that reinforces the message of civic pride and environmental and predator-free care for Wellington. Drawing on local colour palettes and community themes, the mural will serve as both a beautification effort and a public reminder to “Be a Tidy Kiwi” — encouraging everyone to take ownership of their surroundings and respect the shared spaces that connect our towns and cities.
