How long does a canvas commission take?

Most canvas commissions on Book An Artist take 3–6 weeks from brief approval to shipping. Timeline depends on size, complexity and the artist's schedule. Your artist will confirm a firm delivery estimate in the initial quote.

Can I send my own reference photos?

Yes — reference photos are one of the best briefing tools. Upload them with your brief. Most canvas painters on Book An Artist work from client-supplied references for subject, palette and mood direction.

How much does a canvas commission cost?

Canvas commission pricing depends on size, detail and the artist's tier. As a guide: small canvases (up to 50×50cm) typically start from a few hundred dollars; large canvases (1m+ on the longest edge) typically sit in the low-thousands. You'll get a firm quote before committing.

Can I request revisions before the final painting?

Yes. Most commissions include at least one concept/sketch round where you can request revisions before the artist starts on the canvas. Once the canvas is painted, only minor tweaks are typically possible.

Canvases ship either stretched (ready to hang) or rolled in a tube (for you to stretch locally, ideal for large pieces shipping internationally). Your artist will recommend the best option based on your size and location.

What if I'm not sure exactly what I want?

That's normal — start with what you do know: a room, a mood, a palette, reference images you love. Your Book An Artist artist will guide the rest of the brief, proposing composition and subject options before they begin.
