About
George Garcia is a local South Bay oil painter based in San Pedro, California. He specializes in landscapes, seascapes, and commissioned artwork. His style combines impressionism and realism, using bright colors and a strong sense of perspective to bring each piece to life. In High School, George emersed himself in art classes with a dream of attending college for the arts. He earned a scholarship to Woodbury University where he studied Art and Graphic Design. While interning at the Salvation Army headquarters, George designed the Centennial logo for the Salvation Army’s 100th Anniversary celebration. George is currently studying under Master Painter, Rino Gonzalez, at the Artistry Studio, to further refine his skills. Inspired by the stunning coastline of Palos Verdes and local beach towns, George is passionate about capturing their beauty on canvas. Education Woodbury University 1981 - 1986 ​ ​
