I grew up drawing, painting, sculpting & carving anything I could get my hands on; luckily my parents supported this and allowed me to continue to develop along the artistic vein. I attended Kendall School of Design in Michigan, receiving degrees in both Illustration and Commercial Art. I then moved to Colorado with a fellow Kendall graduate & formed an Ad Agency in Aspen. I worked as designer/illustrator for several years, also carving signs for local ski shops & restaurants, before relocating to the Colorado Front Range where I am now. I'm probably best known as the artist that illustrated the "Justification For Higher Education" poster (SO many years ago, highest selling poster of all time at Spencer's Gifts!) What inspires me? My first love could be illustrating children’s stories, fantasy book covers an such, but honestly interacting with a client and collaborating on each & every creative assignment is simply the best experience!

There's not really any type of project I don't love within my genres; I am a raster artist and design/illustrate everything in that form,   so not much vector work here.

Qualifications/Positions:

Over 40 years experience as an illustrator/designer,   running my own "1-man" Commercial Art & Design business,   including several years in downtown Aspen,   now based in the Colorado Front Range.

Awards/Grants:

I've received several awards in both print and E-book version projects; a Bronze award for "Fiction- Children's Books",   a Gold for "Best Illustrations in Children's Fiction",   etc.

Exhibitions:

Worked with the following major brands:

Coors,   Chartreuse liquor,   Rossignol skis,   Look eyeware,   Head & Tyrolia ski equipment,   Ray-Ban eyewear,   Snickers/Mars candy,   etc.
