Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, visual artist April Magnum is creating art from any medium that inspires her. A graduate of Long Island University where she received a Bachelor's of
Fine Arts degree, April has been perfecting her art for the past forty-two (42) years. Working with any and every medium under the Sun, April has created unique masterpieces from food, scrap metals, and other “junkyard” materials to oil and acrylic paintings. April has had her work displayed at her University and even had pieces shown in Paris.
Not one to be boxed in, this single mom of a pre-teen son also created literary works, having written two books. The books, titled The Fish Who Gave Birth to A Lion and The Balloon Gal have since been published. April also enjoys reading, writing, and working as a full-time yoga instructor when she’s not actively working on her art.
