My name is Oluwaseorefunmi Olufunke Soyannwo, but you can call me 'Seore' for short. I was born in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2002. My first experience as an artist was back in high school, where I had the pleasure of attending art seminars and seeing all the unique artworks and then I thought to myself, "this is cool".
?
I was taken entirely by cartoons when I was younger, curious about the techniques used in creating the stories. It was here I realised that I had a passion for art. I believe being an artist is something that one is born with, not something taught. Artistry is about love; it is being able to translate your ideas creatively.
?
I consider myself self-taught and still learning through trial and error and appreciating the works of so many amazing artists (now teachers), including Jackson Pollock, Joyce Klassen and Mr Doodle. They contributed significantly to my love for abstract art.
?
For now, I work primarily with acrylic, and I currently work from the United Kingdom and my home country, Nigeria. I cannot wait to see where this may take me, but I am sure excited.
