Hannah's eye for beauty is spectacular! She is an incredibly talented artist and we are constantly in awe of the beautiful paintings we see her creating both on canvas and larger murals. We have purchased several of her pieces over the years and couldn't be happier with the quality of her artwork, the colors, the composition, attention to detail, and the vibrancy and life that she breathes into each of her paintings. We have also seen her grow as an artist as she perfects her craft and that growth shines through each new piece that she does.

About
Nature is my inspiration! I love color, light and shadow, all the elements... The best of my childhood was spent in the wilderness, high up in trees on a platform, in a harness, or under a canopy in Washington State. I value scale and composition for impact, which is how my projects came to grow from the canvas to the facades of buildings, buses etc. I love projects that camouflage unusual shapes into a landscape. One small scale project I loved the results of was simply making an electric box less conspicuous by painting life size monstera deliciosa leaves over parts of it, making it look like a secret door whenever it was opened, and really beautifying the corner around it. I love doing that sort of thing on a larger scale. Art with a message that can be either written in brief or conveyed through image is very exciting to me as well. I look forward to the challenge of a project as long as it aligns with my ethics and taste. Reach out to see if we can find common ground in your vision!

Anything unoriginal or copied from Ai.
Compositions that don't call to me. Working on walls that have extremely rough surfaces,   which slows down the entire process and requires more paint. Tedious small decorative artwork on large walls makes me feel like I'm doing injustice to the space.

Qualifications/Positions:

I've been earning money painting since 2010. My work has been on canvas,   wood,   cloth,   the interiors and exteriors of public and private buildings,   and buses.

Awards/Grants:

I am in the waiting process of applying for a grant designated for female entrepreneurs through The National Institute of Womens' FOMUJERES program in San José.

Exhibitions:

My sole exhibition for paintings on canvases was in 2012 at a gallery my husband and I opened for the purpose of selling our creations,   art,   ferments,   hot sauces,   and unique breakfasts. We had to close the space as it was in 2020 and shift to creating in alternative ways.
