About
We are Ivi and Wašo - an artist duo from Banská Štiavnica, a UNESCO-listed historic town in Slovakia. We paint on walls and on canvas. Sometimes both at once. Ivi paints animals, nature and inner worlds in oil - layer by layer, in the tradition of abstract realism. Her work is quiet, symbolic and deeply intentional. Wašo creates large-scale murals - spray painting, neon installations and hand-painted walls that carry the energy of street art translated into something lasting. What makes us different: we always work on every commission together. Ivi brings composition, concept and quiet rebellion. Wašo brings precision, detail and raw energy. Every project starts with a consultation and a full visual proposal - so the result matches your vision exactly. We've painted schools, restaurants, hotels, animal shelters, private homes and festival stages. We're based in Slovakia and genuinely love to travel for the right project. Europe is our playground. Original paintings come with a certificate of authenticity and ship anywhere in the EU and UK. Want to know more about how we work and what it costs? We've written it all down honestly: → Mural Art process & pricing: everything you need to know is in the blog section on our website: mural-art-how-we-got-burned-what-it-taught-us → Original paintings - everything you need to know is in the blog section on our website: introvert-studio-diary: for-those-considering-a-painting We've been running Atelierovo Art since 2020 from the heart of Banská Štiavnica - a small historic town in central Slovakia where we both live, work and find most of our inspiration. Ivi studied Fine Arts at the Milan Art Institute (US) and holds a Master's degree in social pedagogy. She paints animals and nature - not as decoration, but as carriers of meaning. Each painting begins in silence and ends with a story you can feel before you can explain it. She works in oil on canvas and linen, using Gamblin professional oils on quality frames. Every piece comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Wašo is a self-taught street artist who has been spraying walls for years. His murals carry the spirit of the streets - raw energy, bold composition and a signature "street mark" you'll find hidden in every piece. He works with spray paint for large surfaces and exteriors, and with eco-friendly acrylic paints for interiors where smell and safety matter. Together we've learned that the best projects happen when we stop dividing our skills and start combining them. We consult on composition together, we challenge each other's decisions - and the result is always better for it. We don't take every job. We take the right jobs - the ones where the client trusts the process and the wall (or canvas) deserves something real. Last year we learned a hard lesson about a commission that went wrong. We wrote about it openly - because we think that kind of transparency is rare and valuable. You can read the full story on our blog (on our website).
