I am a Cape Town–based painter, shaking off the label of ex-candidate attorney, emerging into freedom by leaving the world of law behind and delving into art. At the core of my practice is communicating what most would rather keep in the shadows. I create works with the key purpose to invoke inner curiosity and exploration, all in the name of authenticity and releasing imposed conventions. While I am working on my first body of work for an exhibition, I welcome the opportunity to create bespoke paintings for you. To bring your vision to life. To connect you to the immediacy and beauty of a single moment, primed to canvas. To invite reflection. In doing so, I work with acrylic paint on canvas, conceptualizing meaningful narratives and turning them into imagery, labouring in love for the craft. Stylistically, I create within the surrealist realm and have developed an unparalleled love for the colour brown and all its glorious shades. Nonetheless, no colour or subject matter is off-limits, and I welcome you to work with me to create a work that is meant to exist with meaning and love within your space.
